Financial Aid
We feel strongly that finances should not preclude any child from participating in Talmud Torah. We have scholarships and resources available to help cover tuition costs for families in need. Please contact byanish@talmudtorahmpls.org if you are interested in applying for financial aid.
Critical elements in the financial aid process:
-
In order to be considered for financial aid, your Talmud Torah account must be in good standing (paid up or on a payment plan) and you must be registered for the 2023-2024 school year. If you need to set up a payment plan, please contact Barb Yanish at 952-381-3304 or byanish@talmudtorahmpls.org.
-
We use the FACTS Grant and Aid organization for its screening and assessments of all financial aid applications. FACTS is a highly regarded, confidential service used by many private schools. It uses a standardized/equity-based formula to fairly assess family needs. Every family wishing to be considered for financial aid must submit a completed application and supporting documents to this service. No exceptions to this process will be made.
-
FACTS will notify you if they need additional information to complete your application. Please respond promptly to their requests so your application is not delayed.
-
Families may appeal the decision by writing a brief paragraph describing their special circumstances. The committee will review their individual situation and re-evaluate the amount of aid received. An appeal is not an assurance that financial aid will be granted.
If you have been on our FACTS ACH payment plan or if you have applied for Grants in the past, you can use the same username and password for Grant & Aid this year.
Thank you, again, for entrusting an important part of your children’s Jewish education to us. If you have any questions about the financial aid process, please don’t hesitate to contact our Finance Manager, Barb Yanish at 952-381-3304 or byanish@talmudtorahmpls.org.
